THE TENT PROJECT
THE TENT PROJECT IS BASED ON THE SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION OF
“HEAL YOURSELF, HEAL THE WORLD”
THE TENT is a place where people are inspired, energized, enlightened, and healed, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. THE TENT is a forum where people from all nations interact with each other and come together to teach, to learn, and to discuss topics and concerns that affect everyone regardless of nationality, geographic location, or religious affiliation.
THE TENT is a non-stationary site that travels to locations around the world, sharing the principles of love, individual healing, and transformation. The goal of all Tent events is to lead to new ways to contribute to the healing and transformation our world.
When an individual experiences physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, they are transformed at a core level and are forever changed. This individual can then go forward into the world and heal others by sharing their personal stories, by showing deeper compassion for others, and by functioning as a more enlightened world citizen.
The TENT is an experiential happening. As you enter THE TENT, your senses are heightened. You see rich colors and textiles from around the world. You hear the sound of music, of waterfalls as they cascade down interior surfaces. You smell flowers and aromatic oils and incense. Artifacts from around the globe are placed inside.
THE TENT is a place of sights, sounds, and impressions. Your five senses are engaged and you feel creatively alive. This environment creates a readiness for new experiences and learning. You can sit and read one of the many books from THE TENT’S extensive library or gather with others for a lecture on the latest energetic healing techniques. You may find yourself in an exciting brain-storming session with leaders and scientists who are discussing alternative fuel sources or ways to preserve the earth’s precious rain forests.
In THE TENT, all things are possible. The ideas and experiences are infinite. The only things that are required are an open mind, a giving heart and a desire for healing.
THE TENT is an individual experience that becomes a collective one. As you are transformed, you become a transformer. As you work individually on healing, you become part of a global collective of like-minded collaborators who are physically, emotionally, and spiritually connected to each other and to this planet. In THE TENT, the learners are also the teachers. The healed are also the healers. The lecturers are also the listeners. THE TENT is about sharing, giving, and growing.
As the Earth is going through its own changes, we humans are also being changed. We are being asked to step up and become better, more responsible caretakers of our home. A place to come together to share and to learn and to listen has never been timelier or more needed. Television and films do help heighten awareness but the experience of watching them is far less engaging than interactive, experiential sessions with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Joan Roth is the founder of THE TENT PROJECT. She is a spiritualist and intuitive healer dedicated to helping individuals achieve personal transformation. Central to Joan’s work is the core belief that personal transformation and the application of love and compassion are the catalyst for global transformation and world peace.
Members of the Board of Directors and active participants in THE TENT PROJECT are Yee-Ching Lee and Shamina de Gonzaga. For more than 20 years, Yee-Ching has studied with teachers of ancient Eastern and Western wisdom and practices. Yee-Ching has developed the unique Breath of Change Workshop that encompasses breathing techniques, meditation, yoga, healing movement, and interactive processes to reduce stress, regain a healthy body and mind, and open the heart to love, joy and peace. Shamina is the Chairperson of the 61st United Nations DPI/NGO Conference, and is the Special Advisor on NGO Relations of the Office of the President of the General Assembly. Shamina became an NGO representative in 1996 at the age of 14, and over the last twelve years she has focused on developing innovative approaches which involve civil society, especially youth, and entrepreneurs in the work of the United Nations.
